This is one of the most competitive title races we’ve seen in a long time even in 2008 when I was in Manchester United but I think this team…. is going to win’: Christiano Ronaldo has finally predicted who will win the Premier League this season, between Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City
Ronaldo has predicted who will win the Premier League title this season, following Arsenal’s weekend victory against Manchester City.
Ronaldo predicted one of the most contested title contests in a long time on The Kelly and Wrighty Show (airing on November 27th).
Arsenal has returned to the ground where they spent most of last season. Mikel Arteta’s men defeated Brentford 1-0 at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday, with Kai Havertz scoring the only goal late in the game.
Ronaldo believes Manchester City or Arsenal will win the Premier League.
With Manchester City having drawn with Liverpool earlier in the day, the Gunners had a chance to catch Pep Guardiola’s side. Meanwhile, Aston Villa are within striking distance of first place after defeating Tottenham on Sunday.
It wasn’t long ago that the Spurs were unrivalled. So it’s no surprise that Ronaldo anticipates a very open competition.
However, he stated that he still believes Manchester City will win the Premier League this season.
“I believe it is one of the best and most competitive leagues we’ve had in a long time.” “I still think they’ll win the league,” he said on The Kelly and Wrighty Show.
“I truly believe that. Like Benty, I believe they will go on a 10- to 15-game unbeaten streak. When March arrives, they shift gears. They just stick the games together in March and April, and it’s horrible for everyone else looking in.”
All four sides appear to be on the rise.
It’s terrifying to believe that neither Manchester City nor Arsenal have yet found their greatest form. The Gunners score the fewest goals among the top four. They do, however, have the best defensive record in the division.
City, on the other hand, has yet to hit their top gear, as Ronaldo says. They also expect Kevin De Bruyne to return at some point.
Given their troubles in recent years, Liverpool have been really outstanding. But there’s a lot more to come from them as well.
It seems premature to expect Villa to be a major title contender. However, this could be due to how swiftly they have advanced up the ranks.
It is quite difficult to predict. But there is little doubt that many will agree with Ronaldo’s opinion that City are in control.
