“I can’t bench him for you no matter how bad or awful he plays, he will always start all matches for Chelsea except when he’s injured”- Chelsea manager Pochettino says he has an untouchable player he can never sub off after snubbing a player who was already on the touch line against Manchester United
Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, says he will continue to play Reece James regardless of performance.
James has had difficulty playing after his long-term hamstring ailment.
On Friday, Pochettino stated, “We are competitive and want to win, but what’s best for Reece is time and to give him game time.” “It is difficult for him to be fit if not.”
Pochettino talked about James’ captaincy as well.
“He is doing fantastically, and I couldn’t be happier with him. He is contributing to the squad, his teammates, and each and every decision he makes.
“He always tries to be cheerful and give it his all. It is important to keep in mind, too, that it can be challenging for a captain who isn’t participating due to injury or another issue to feel involved. However, he is doing an amazing job, and I couldn’t be happier with him.
