VERY SAD NEWS Has been announced for Manchester City Playmaker Kevin De Bruyne this evening by Pep Guardiola after 1-0 victory against Brentford

With a 1-0 victory over Brentford, Pep Guardiola updates the status of Kevin De Bruyne’s injury.
Premier League manager Pep Guardiola of Manchester City has provided an update on an injury worry involving Kevin De Bruyne.

It was unexpected to see the £400,000-a-week (Sport Rac) player on the bench prior to City’s 1-0 triumph over Brentford.

It was surprising that Guardiola did not start what is likely his best player on Tuesday night in a game that was essential to win in the Premier League title race.

Pep Guardiola provides an updated report on Kevin De Bruyne’s injuries.
Erling Haaland’s game-winning goal in the 71st minute knotted the score at zero, therefore it was unexpected that Pep Guardiola started Jeremy Doku off the bench rather than Kevin De Bruyne.

Nonetheless, it was reasonable to assume that De Bruyne might have taken a hit given that he was not called upon in any way.

Following Manchester City’s victory over Brentford to move up to second place in the league standings, Pep Guardiola provided an update on Kevin De Bruyne’s alleged injury.

We are unable to employ Kevin [De Bruyne] today due to hamstring strains; I did not want to take any chances with him, he stated [via HaytersTV].

“He’s okay, he’s okay, it’s just more caution and prevention that I think but he didn’t feel comfortable, the doctor said it is a little risk and I said, okay,” Pep Guardiola asserted in response to questions about Kevin De Bruyne’s injury.

“We didn’t take any risks about that over him after five months off.”

Kevin De Bruyne shouldn’t be put at risk at this point in the season.
An injury to Kevin De Bruyne would be disastrous for Pep Guardiola and company as Manchester City prepares to take on tough opponents like Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Aston Villa in March.

De Bruyne is so important to this team that it would make sense if both fans and experts said that City wasn’t a contender to win the Premier League and the Champions League.

From a Sky Blues standpoint, one hopes the 32-year-old gets back to full fitness as soon as possible because if he is judged injured moving ahead, his absence would be felt greatly again.
