Former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel snubs Premier League club despite desperation to return to England

David Moyes, the manager of West Ham, is under contract until the end of the current campaign, and the team’s recent performance has put additional pressure on him.

After they have lost eight straight games and given up 16 goals, some fans even want him fired.

While solidly supporting Moyes for the foreseeable future, Hammers’ executives are looking into their possibilities for a potential coaching move.

Following the announcement that he will be departing German champions Bayern at the end of this season, Tuchel will become a free agent in the summer.

However, people close to the German claim that Tuchel will only consider managerial offers from the major English clubs.

With new executives at Manchester United and the departure of head coach Jurgen Klopp from Liverpool this summer, manager Erik ten Hag’s future is unclear.

Despite receiving billions of Saudi dollars, Newcastle United’s manager Eddie Howe is facing criticism as his team sits seventh in the Premier League.

After winning the Champions League and Club World Cup, Tuchel led Chelsea for a year and a half starting in January 2021 and saw the team through its most tumultuous time.

Following the UK government’s severe financial penalties, Roman Abramovich, the club’s owner at the time, was obliged to sell the team due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

In May 2022, American investors Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali purchased Chelsea for just more than £2 billion. A hundred days later, after losing 1-0 to Dinamo Zagreb, Todd Boehly fired coach Jochen Tuchel.
