Mauricio Pochettino provides an explanation for his recent benching of Mykhailo Mudryk.
Mykhailo Mudryk’s benching practices have been explained by Mauricio Pochettino.
Following a run of subpar performances, Mudryk has hardly started a game for Chelsea in the past two months. Pochettino has also stated that the Ukrainian team has to get better in a few areas.
“Because it is a part of the evolution, the development,” the Argentine stated at a press conference.
“I believe that, young guys as well, you need occasionally experience the agony when they don’t play because it’s never easy and challenging to develop, get more mature, and learn how to get better.
The most crucial thing, in my opinion, is to handle this crisis well. After that, it will always be up to him to push the envelope or go beyond what we perceive to be their comfort zone. Our coaching team always faces enormous challenges.
Mudryk has a lot of work to do to win over Pochettino now that Cole Palmer is playing well and Christopher Nkunku has returned from injury. Nicolas Jackson, who can play out wide, Noni Madueke, and Raheem Sterling are also ahead of him.
