Rabiot changed his mind instantly. The deal was all done and signed off 😳 Erik ten Hag will be outraged this has emerged for the entire world to see

In August 2022, Manchester United reached an agreement with Juventus to acquire Adrien Rabiot for an initial fee of £15 million. However, they still needed to finalize personal terms with his agent, who is also his mother, Veronique.

According to a recent report by The Athletic, Veronique’s demands were considered substantial, offering an intriguing perspective on the transfer that ultimately fell through.

Rabiot was reportedly displeased with the criticism surrounding his potential move to Manchester United. His doubts increased after hearing negative remarks from Lou Macari on the club’s internal media channel.

In the footage below, Macari expressed his skepticism about Rabiot, stating that he had “a bad feeling about the guy” and questioning why no top club had signed him. Macari further remarked, “I’d never really heard of him. Clubs spend millions on scouting players across Europe, but nobody else has gone for this guy. Why do you think that is? I have got a bad feeling about the guy.”

Rabiot’s reaction to the criticism reportedly caused Manchester United to question his ability to handle pressure and scrutiny.

Although Rabiot is now a free agent and has been linked with Manchester United during the last two transfer windows, no deal has been completed.

Rabiot previously expressed his interest in playing in the Premier League, having spent time with Manchester City’s academy in 2008. Reflecting on his time there, he said at the World Cup in Qatar, “It was a very good experience. I didn’t do a whole season, though. Everything went well while I was there.”

He added, “I really liked the atmosphere. It’s something unique to England, different from France and Italy. I’ve always said that I’d like to play in England during my career, and I still have that desire. I’d like to develop in the Premier League.”
