In August 2022, Manchester United reached an agreement with Juventus to acquire Adrien Rabiot for an initial fee of £15 million. However, they still needed to finalize personal terms with his agent, who is also his mother, Veronique.
According to a recent report by The Athletic, Veronique’s demands were considered substantial, offering an intriguing perspective on the transfer that ultimately fell through.
Rabiot was reportedly displeased with the criticism surrounding his potential move to Manchester United. His doubts increased after hearing negative remarks from Lou Macari on the club’s internal media channel.
In the footage below, Macari expressed his skepticism about Rabiot, stating that he had “a bad feeling about the guy” and questioning why no top club had signed him. Macari further remarked, “I’d never really heard of him. Clubs spend millions on scouting players across Europe, but nobody else has gone for this guy. Why do you think that is?
