I am training with them now and they where to have me back. I choose to go back to Manchester United under one condition. I was betrayed by Juventus but I hope I will prove them wrong here”-BREAKING NEWS: Paul Pogba reveals why he returned to Manchester United after being betrayed by Juventus as he plans to return to top football

Bacary Sagna believes Paul Pogba would be open to a third stint at Manchester United, especially with Ruben Amorim now managing the team.

The 31-year-old French midfielder, a World Cup champion, is currently unattached after leaving Juventus earlier this month. Pogba’s second spell at the Italian club was marred by limited appearances—just 12 matches—due to a doping scandal.

In September 2023, Pogba received a four-year suspension after testing positive for a prohibited substance. However, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) later reduced the ban to 18 months, concluding that Pogba unknowingly ingested the substance. This ruling means he can resume training in January 2024 and return to competitive football by March.

Despite these challenges, Pogba’s talent remains undeniable, and Sagna considers a return to Old Trafford feasible. The former Arsenal and Manchester City defender believes Pogba could flourish under Amorim’s guidance.

Speaking to Mega Dice, Sagna shared:

“Manchester United is in a different place now compared to Paul’s last spell there. With a young, former player like Amorim as manager, he would likely embrace someone with Paul’s qualities. I know Paul loves United, and Amorim seems like the kind of coach who would support him.”

Sagna also reflected on Pogba’s earlier tenure at United, attributing his struggles to broader issues within the club:

“I’ve spoken with Paul many times, and he genuinely has a deep affection for United. The challenges weren’t just about him; the whole team faced difficulties when he returned.”

Currently, United’s midfield faces significant challenges, with injuries to players like Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte. In their recent 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town, Casemiro and Christian Eriksen were both substituted in the second half, highlighting the need for additional midfield options.

If Pogba becomes available in March, he could provide United with much-needed midfield reinforcement. While Amorim’s plans for Pogba remain unclear, Sagna’s remarks suggest the possibility of a d

ramatic return.
