RB Leipzig Star Xavi Simons makes his choice between Chelsea & Man City after Pep Guardiola enters the race to Sign Him

The transfer saga surrounding Xavi Simons has taken an intriguing turn, with Manchester City reportedly entering the fray to sign the Leipzig star. However, despite the Citizens’ interest, Simons is said to still favor a move to Chelsea. The Blues have been negotiating with Simons’ representatives for much of the summer, and although the transfer has yet to be officially completed, Simons has reportedly made it clear that Chelsea remains his top priority.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, Manchester City’s interest in Simons has been reignited due to the potential departure of Savinho, with the Citizens reestablishing contact with super agent Ali Barat in an attempt to lure Simons away from Chelsea. Nevertheless, Chelsea’s talks with Simons are still ongoing, with both parties mutually interested in finalizing a deal.

The transfer fee for Simons is estimated to be in the region of €60-70 million, and he has already agreed to personal terms on a long-term contract with Chelsea. Leipzig, who signed Simons permanently from PSG in January for a fixed €50 million, has decided to sell their star man this summer.

As the situation continues to unfold, the next few days are expected to provide clarity on Simons’ future. Despite Manchester City’s interest, Simons’ preference for Chelsea suggests that the Blues remain in a strong position to secure his signature.
