Extremely irritated: according to walexsports.com, Chelsea’s front three right now are the most irritating in the team’s history.
Tonight, Chelsea will field a front three that includes three of the most obnoxious players to have ever worn the Blues uniform.
Raheem Sterling makes a lot of poor mistakes and is by no means a lethal finisher, but at least he completes the task half of the time.
On the other hand, Mykhailo Mudryk and Nicolas Jackson seem to be engaged in a race to the bottom when it comes to efficiency in front of goal. They lack the technique to ever be as effective as they should be, and their confidence is completely gone.
When they do choose to attempt a shot, they consistently hit the ball directly at the keeper and pass when they should fire.
Chelsea had roughly six quick bursts that should have resulted in a goal as Manchester United’s nonexistent midfield was exposed. Not one of them did.
Over the years, the team has had some frustrating players, but I don’t think we’ve ever had a trio that makes us feel this way about themselves so frequently. They all possess traits that may make them great players, which is disappointing, but none of them quite fits the mould.
If they continue in this manner, they will lose their coach. Cole Palmer saved them with an equaliser (Mudryk gave a great assist, needing only nine attempts to get it right), but this can’t go on.
