Chelsea Manager Mauricio Pochettino has finally broken silence on Conor Gallagher transfer to Tottenham this January

This season, the 23-year-old midfielder has been one of Chelsea’s most important players. He has not missed a game due to suspension and has often led the team when Reece James isn’t available.

Despite Pochettino’s insistence that the club does not need to sell before they can buy this month, reports have indicated he could be moved to assist finance Chelsea’s pursuit of a striker during the January transfer window.

Although the England international is believed to wish to remain in west London, Tottenham is one of the teams interested in signing him. Despite this, there is still a lot of conjecture over his future.

Nonetheless, Gallagher’s handling of the uncertainty surrounding his future does not worry the Chelsea manager.

“I think he’s working really hard, doing a great job, and he’s really helping the team, us, and his teammates.”

We are satisfied with his work. Since he is familiar with the club, he has an edge. He is aware with Premier League requirements. We are overjoyed to have him.

A few Chelsea players’ futures have been called into question this month, as Ian Maatsen is rumoured to be close to signing a loan deal to play for Borussia Dortmund.

Meanwhile, Andrey Santos, whose next move is unknown, has returned after a loan stint at Nottingham Forest.

Pochettino went on, “If you’re wondering if I spoke with Conor about this, the answer is yes.”

Like with all athletes, Andrey Santos or Ian Maatsen are two examples of players with whom it’s always beneficial to speak amicably when rumours surface.

“I think it’s crucial that the coaches and I always have very direct, honest, and transparent conversations with the players.” These kinds of partnerships are healthy.

“We were discussing a wide range of topics, and we will communicate if we have anything to say.”
