“Man Utd defence and midfielde have been mediocre at best this season and I blame a lot of it on Erik Tan Hag’s tactics wanting the team to play out from the back it’s not nice football”-Wayne Rooney Slams Erig Ten Hag after Manchester United beat Everton
Following Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Everton by Manchester United, Wayne Rooney issued a warning to Casemiro.
Erik ten Hag’s team, who are now three points behind Tottenham but are still sixth in the Premier League, managed to secure three points with two first-half penalties won by Alejandro Garnacho and converted by Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford.
At Old Trafford, Everton got out to a strong start and had opportunities to grab the lead, but Casemiro struggled to maintain consistency in the middle of Manchester United’s midfield.
Furthermore, Rooney feels that the Brazil international is left vulnerable and has too much territory to cover under United’s current setup.
Rooney said to TNT Sports, “I think there was too much space from the back line to the forward players.”
In order to attempt to hold the middle of the pitch, Casemiro has a lot of work ahead of him.
“They could cause problems against a better team than Everton did today,” the analyst said.
They have players who could win games; I believe Rashford is one of them; Bruno usually finds a way to win games; and Garnacho, as we saw tonight, created two goals. They deserved to win.
Though they can play better than they did today, they still deserve to win.

Garnacho, 19, has been United’s finest player thus far this season, according to Rooney, who also hailed the 19-year-old’s performance against Everton.
“I believe that Garnacho was the catalyst for today’s events.” Rooney declared, “He was without a doubt the best player on the pitch.”
“I think he works really hard off the ball and isn’t afraid to put in the effort.” Since he is still a young player, he will continue to make mistakes because he is still learning.
However, he possesses the insatiable hunger that any fan hopes to see in a player. He’s really impressed me this season, and I believe he has exceptional talent in the future.
“I believe he can improve his output, goals, assists, and numbers.”
“I think we’ll see better numbers from him over the next few years because he has the capability to do that.”
“However, he’s still young and still developing; this season, he’s arguably Manchester United’s best player.”
