After missing the first five months of the season with a hamstring injury, De Bruyne has been in fantastic form, netting one goal and dishing out ten assists in 11 games.
However, the midfield player was left out of Belgium’s most recent roster on Thursday for their friendlies against England and the Republic of Ireland this month.
Although his most recent injury has been deemed minor, it will still cause serious concern for City given the importance of the match that lies ahead. Keeper Ederson is already a serious doubt to play against Arsenal due to a thigh injury he suffered during last weekend’s 1-1 draw at Anfield against Liverpool.
With regard to De Bruyne, Belgium manager Domenico Tedesco stated, “I don’t know whether it has anything to do with his hamstrings.” There is a groyne injury.

“We need to allow him some time to heal. Three months before the Euros, is not the time to gamble with our players.
