“Bring him back and sell Nicholas Jackson we don’t need him”-Furious Chelsea Fans has instructed Pochettino to Sell Nicholas Jackson and Bring Back Chelsea Loanee that is performing wonders
Fans of Chelsea want Ian Maatsen return after his exploits in the Champions League. Bring Him Back.
Following Ian Maatsen’s exploits in the Champions League for Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night, Chelsea supporters have pleaded with the club’s management not to sell him.
Dortmund defeated Atletico Madrid 4-2 in the second leg of their Champions League match, and Maatsen scored his first-ever goal to help his team advance to the semi-finals.
According to sources in Germany, the left-back joined Dortmund on loan during the January transfer window and will remain with the German team until the conclusion of the season. The Bundesliga team is eager to make the arrangement permanent.
After a standout loan at Burnley in 2022–2023 Maatsen was expecting to make an impression on Mauricio Pochettino and make it into Chelsea’s starting lineup this season.
In addition to being nominated in the second-tier Team of the Season, the 22-year-old Dutchman assisted Vincent Kompany’s team in winning the Championship.
Prior to Maatsen turning down a permanent move to Turf Moor, Chelsea attempted to sell him in the summer and even accepted a £31.5 million offer from Burnley.
Due to his lack of playing time at Stamford Bridge, La Liga powerhouse Barcelona expressed interest, and it was believed Chelsea was considering a January sale.
After his spectacular performance against Atletico, he eventually signed a six-month loan with German team Dortmund, and Chelsea supporters want him to remain.
“What a goal, Ian Maatsen.” Don’t sell him, @ChelseaFC, said @CFCDatro on X, the platform that was once Twitter.
@UberChelseaFC_ continued, “Chelsea are planning to sell Ian Maatsen to Borussia Dortmund for £35 million while we’re screaming out for a player like him.”
@matissearmani said, “Maatsen is into the semi-finals as a starting LB in the tournament we can’t get into.” “Skill speaks volumes.”
“Chelsea didn’t give Ian Maatsen a chance this season, and now he is scoring goals in the CL quarterfinals,” tweeted @ConnCFC. “Well done, great player.”
Meanwhile, @Celery_brigade made a sarcastic remark, saying, “That Ian Maatsen man looks fine — we might consider purchasing him.”
