Chelsea manager Mouricio Pochettino is set to become the manager of this shocking Premier League Club after Leaving Chelsea this summer

A surprising development during Mauricio Pochettino’s exit negotiations is the Chelsea manager’s projected appointment as Liverpool’s next manager.

Liverpool has been urged to think about making an unexpected bid for Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino as the Jurgen Klopp era comes to an end. This will be Klopp’s last six games in charge of Anfield.

If Liverpool can’t improve on their results from the Europa League first leg against Atalanta on Thursday night, then all of their focus will be on the Premier League race, where they and Arsenal are only two points behind the new leaders Manchester City with six games remaining in the season.

The frontrunner to succeed Klopp is Sporting CP’s Ruben Amorim, who led Liverpool to their seventh major championship in nine years with a 1-0 victory against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final in February. Still, there’s a lot of speculation as to Klopp’s successor. Former Chelsea and Liverpool defender Glen Johnson has expressed his concerns.

Johnson believes that Liverpool should look at the opponent that Klopp defeated at Wembley. In an interview with Betfred, Johnson said, “I don’t know a great deal about him (Amorim), but result-wise, he’s definitely doing a wonderful job at Sporting Lisbon.” I am concerned, however, about the replacement for Jurgen Klopp.

“I’m sure Liverpool will have successful managers in the future, but replacing Jurgen immediately is a challenging assignment. It’s a really challenging challenge for everyone to get there today. Whichever you are, this is going to be a difficult assignment.

Johnson believes Liverpool should look to Mauricio Pochettino, the former manager of Tottenham, whose Chelsea team might overcome holders Manchester City this coming weekend to survive a difficult season.

“A manager who comes in would be inheriting a magnificent bunch, and even though I’ve suggested that Jurgen Klopp would be a tough act to follow, it will be an improvement in terms of player quality than any contender would have had at their disposal previously,” Johnson stated.

“I know some people would say I’m insane, but Mauricio Pochettino is a well-known person who has the ability to take that role and capture everyone’s attention. That would excite people regardless of what has happened at Chelsea this season—Mauricio isn’t to blame for anything, in my opinion.

“If he took over that Liverpool team, I believe he could succeed at Anfield. It takes time to become a terrible manager.”
