West Ham midfielder eyed as Casemiro replacement at Man Utd! 💥 Manchester United fans, brace yourselves as the club considers a key Hammers star to fill the midfield gap. Stay tuned for updates on this thrilling potential transfer!

Manchester United are considering West Ham United’s Edson Alvarez as a potential replacement for Casemiro, according to a report.
Following a disappointing season, Casemiro is available for transfer, with United aiming to generate around £100m to reinvest in the team.
As Casemiro is the squad’s sole natural defensive midfielder, his departure would necessitate finding a replacement. Fabrizio Romano reports that United officials have discussed acquiring Alvarez.
Alvarez, a Mexican international who turns 27 in October, joined Ajax under Erik ten Hag in 2019. Ten Hag is reportedly interested in reuniting with him.
However, securing Alvarez might be challenging. He is contracted with West Ham until 2028 and is valued highly after his £35m transfer last summer.
Alvarez almost joined Chelsea in 2022, nearly boarding a plane to London before Ajax blocked the move. He joined the Premier League a year later and has adapted well, making 42 appearances last season and catching United’s attention.
United’s co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, and INEOS may try to reduce Ten Hag’s influence over transfers. Although Ten Hag would still have input, his power to veto transfers might be curtailed.
Ten Hag has already brought several former Ajax players to Old Trafford, including Andre Onana, Lisandro Martinez, and Antony. Frenkie de Jong and Brian Brobbey have also been on United’s radar.
Additionally, United considered signing former Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt this summer but decided against it due to the high cost of acquiring him from Bayern Munich.
