“Him and Erik ten Hag planned it all along. He didn’t just left. That’s why he haven’t joined any club yet. Now he is back to help the club” – David de Gea turns down shock Shocking move to a Premier League Club return as he finally makes a shocking move back to the club. Even the players are shocked but Ten Hag wasn’t. No one saw this move coming 😳😳 Manchester United fans are ready to welcome him back 😳🥹❤️

David de Gea recently declined an offer to join a Premier League team during the January transfer window. The veteran Spanish goalkeeper, who left Manchester United after a 12-year stint last summer, is currently without a club. Though there were discussions about a possible move to Saudi Arabia, De Gea has yet to finalize any deal with the league in the Middle East.

Nottingham Forest expressed strong interest in signing De Gea, offering him the chance to be their regular goalkeeper until the season’s end. Despite the appeal of consistent playing time, the 33-year-old turned down their short-term proposal, choosing to keep his options open for other opportunities.

Alongside their pursuit of De Gea, Nottingham Forest also looked into the availability of Aaron Ramsdale from Arsenal. Ramsdale had recently lost his starting spot to David Raya, making him a potential target for Forest. However, the club eventually shifted their focus and signed Matz Sels from Strasbourg for £5.1 million on the last day of the transfer window, securing him on a three-and-a-half-year contract.

With the addition of Sels, Nottingham Forest now has a goalkeeping roster that includes Matt Turner, Wayne Hennessey, and Odysseas Vlachodimos. Even though the transfer window has closed, De Gea remains a free agent and can still join a club outside the usual transfer periods.

During his time at Manchester United, De Gea made 545 appearances across all competitions, playing a pivotal role in the team’s success. He also earned 45 caps for Spain’s national team. De Gea’s extensive experience and achievements make him an attractive option for clubs in need of a seasoned goalkeeper as he continues to search for his next team.

De Gea’s decision to turn down Nottingham Forest’s offer reflects his careful and strategic approach to finding the right club. After departing Manchester United, he has taken a measured approach in considering his next move, despite interest from multiple clubs, including those in Saudi Arabia. Forest was keen on signing him for the remainder of the season, but De Gea’s choice to explore other opportunities emphasizes his thoughtful consideration in choosing his next career step.

While Nottingham Forest also inquired about Aaron Ramsdale, who had lost his starting role at Arsenal, they ultimately decided to sign Matz Sels from Strasbourg, strengthening their goalkeeping squad. As a free agent, De Gea remains a highly sought-after option for clubs seeking an experienced and accomplished goalkeeper, given his successful history with Manchester United and his international experience with Spain.
