Liverpool is reportedly nearing the acquisition of Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia, as per information from renowned transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.

 

Romano revealed that while an agreement on personal terms has been reached with Mamardashvili, discussions between Liverpool and Valencia are ongoing, with a final deal yet to be struck.

 

The transfer fee for the 22-year-old is anticipated to be around €30 million.

 

Mamardashvili, who is contracted with Valencia until 2027, had a standout season last year, featuring in 32 games, securing 12 clean sheets, and allowing 34 goals.

 

His current market value is an impressive €45 million, according to Transfermarkt.

 

At Euro 2024, Mamardashvili further showcased his talents by making 30 saves, nearly surpassing the record of 32 saves set by former Russian goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev at Euro 2008.

 

His rising reputation is evident in his ranking as one of the top-valued goalkeepers on Transfermarkt.
