If they sack me today, they are right…I shouldn’t have benched them, I’m sorry”: Erik ten Hag swallows his pride and apologize to Man United’s fans for benching TWO Player’s who have are the best so far in this season. The coated him the win against Crystal Palace today šŸ˜«šŸ˜«

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag defended his decision to leave Marcus Rashford out of the starting lineup during their 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace, dismissing the criticism from pundits as “crazy.”

Despite Rashford scoring three goals in his previous two matches, Ten Hag opted to start Alejandro Garnacho, Joshua Zirkzee, and Amad Diallo instead.

United struggled to convert their dominance into goals, and missed opportunities at Selhurst Park allowed Palace to earn a point, despite a lackluster performance from the home side.

Sky Sports analyst Jamie Redknapp was among those questioning Ten Hagā€™s choice to bench Rashford, hinting at possible internal issues.

ā€œIt feels like something is off,ā€ Redknapp said. ā€œIā€™m not sure of the specifics, but you donā€™t usually drop a player who has just scored twice midweek and again against Southampton.

ā€œRashford may not be fully back to his best, but weā€™re seeing glimpses of the player from two years ago. Something seems to have frustrated the manager, and itā€™s unusual to see a coach publicly criticize a playerā€™s lifestyle.

ā€œSir Alex Ferguson wouldnā€™t have done that, but Ten Hag has on a few occasions. That kind of approach doesnā€™t always sit well with players.ā€

Ten Hag swiftly dismissed the comments, stating, ā€œThe speculation from these pundits is absurd.ā€
