Martial announced his new club and just THREE of his former teammates wished him well. Anthony Martial has joined a new club after leaving Manchester United this summer…

After revealing his new club, Anthony Martial’s social media post drew attention from three Manchester United teammates, who left comments.

Martial initially joined Manchester United in 2015 as a teenager, in a transfer deal reportedly worth £36 million. However, his time at the club was marred by frequent injuries, preventing him from securing a regular starting position.

At the end of the 2023/24 season, Martial departed Manchester United following the expiration of his contract. In total, he made 317 appearances and scored 90 goals for the club across all competitions.

Recent reports suggest that Martial has now signed with Greek side AEK Athens, with a deal reportedly worth £2.5 million per year.

On Friday, Martial shared a post on Instagram, featuring a photo of him in AEK Athens’ colors. The caption read: “New Chapter. Let’s go @aekfc_official.”

United players Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, and Harry Maguire left supportive comments on his post, as did Jadon Sancho, currently on loan at Chelsea. Former United teammates Anthony Elanga, Donny van de Beek, and Odion Ighalo also commented.

Martial expressed his excitement about joining AEK Athens, stating, “I’m very happy. AEK presented a great opportunity for me, and I’m determined to give my best, win trophies, and bring joy to the fans.”

Former Manchester United teammate Morgan Schneiderlin also praised Martial, telling Monobala: “AEK’s style fits him well, and I believe he’ll have an outstanding season, scoring plenty of goals. He’ll be a valuable asset to the team, capable of breaking down tough defenses and thriving in AEK’s fast-paced game.”

Schneiderlin also shared that although Martial may appear reserved initially, he is a fun-loving and genuine person.
