Worrying news has been reported for Mohamed Salah amidst Liverpool vs Chelsea clash this morning as he is set to miss Egypt’s next match to return to Anfield amidst check up. You got to feel bad for him..!

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah may rejoin the team’s training camp before the international break concludes, following Egypt’s 2-0 triumph over Mauritania, where Salah scored the second goal in the 79th minute.

Salah was subbed off just before the final whistle, replaced by 23-year-old forward Ibrahim Adel. Egypt leads their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying group with nine points, maintaining a six-point advantage over the second-placed team.

Hossam Hassan’s squad has been dominant in Group C, winning all three games, scoring nine goals, and keeping clean sheets in all matches.

Their first victory came with a 3-0 win over Cape Verde, with goals from Rami Rabia, Omar Marmoush, and Ibrahim Adel. Four days later, they beat Botswana 4-0, where Salah scored the third goal before being substituted in the 75th minute by Koka.

Egypt is set to face Mauritania again on Tuesday, but Salah is not expected to play due to a range of concerns. Reports suggest he may skip the match and return early to Liverpool’s training camp, as the game will take place on artificial turf at Stade Cheikha Ould Boidiya.

Egypt’s coach shared that Salah asked to sit out the game to avoid injury, given Liverpool’s busy schedule after the international break.

Hossam Hassan highlighted that Mauritania’s aggressive playing style could be risky for Salah, who is essential for Liverpool’s squad.

Should Salah miss the match, he will likely head back early to prepare for Liverpool’s Premier League clash against Chelsea on October 20.

Additionally, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk could also return early, after receiving a second yellow card in the Netherlands’ match against Hungary, ruling him out of their next fixture.

These early returns could be a major boost for Liverpool, as their upcoming matches are expected to be more challenging than those earlier in the 2024/25 season.
