Horrible news has been confirmed for Manchester united ahead of PAOK FC match tonight in the Europa league. 🚨 Big problems for van nistelrooy😬this is not looking good for us💔

Former Manchester United player Shola Shoretire found himself at the center of a tense moment after a confrontation with Casemiro during United’s 2-0 victory over PAOK at Old Trafford on Thursday.

United secured their first European win of the season with Amad Diallo scoring both goals. However, drama unfolded in injury time when Shoretire, now playing for PAOK, collided with Casemiro, sparking a heated exchange after a rough tackle from Shoretire.

Following the final whistle, Shoretire approached his former teammates to congratulate them. Lisandro Martinez quickly took the opportunity to pull him aside to offer an apology to Casemiro for the earlier incident. During the initial encounter, Casemiro had gone down clutching his leg after Shoretire’s follow-through, angrily confronting him until Mason Mount and referee Radu Petrescu intervened.

Post-match, Martinez brought Shoretire over to Casemiro, who appeared hesitant at first, but eventually shook hands with the young player after some reluctance.

Shoretire, who joined Manchester United’s academy in 2013, had been with the senior squad for three years before moving to PAOK on a four-year contract this summer. He made history in February 2021 when he became the youngest player to represent United in European competition at age 17, debuting in a 4-0 win over Real Sociedad.

Reflecting on his return to Old Trafford, Shoretire shared, “It’s an incredible feeling to be back. We were surprised but thrilled to find out we’d be facing United. Leaving was a tough decision, but joining PAOK felt right for my career, and I’m happy with my progress here

so far.”
