Chelsea FC Owner Todd Boehly is Set to Buy this European Club for a whooping amount
Owners of Chelsea are interested in investing in one of the top teams in Europe.
Since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital moved in last year, things at Chelsea have been extremely busy, and it appears that the ownership group is set to take another risky step.
Over the past year and a half, Boehly has seen managers come and go, a number of bizarre moves happen, and the purchase of French club Strasbourg.
Many experts have criticised how the Americans have approached the project because the results of these choices have not yet been apparent in the pitch.
A group led by Behdad Eghbali and Todd Boehly, who already own Chelsea and Strasbourg, is reportedly interested in purchasing a stake in Sporting CP, one of Portugal’s top three teams, according to The Telegraph.

The Chelsea owners would be making a significant decision if they did this because Sporting is known for generating exceptional talent. The proprietors of another European opponent should not own a team with the heritage of the Portuguese giants, thus this is also a major concern for football.
Because there is a good probability that both teams will play in future European competitions, UEFA would have a significant role in any potential transaction.
