Erling Haaland, a striker for Manchester City, is ready for this weekend’s derby match against Manchester United.
It’s no surprise that the forward is excited for the big game this weekend after scoring four goals in the FA Cup on Tuesday. It’s amazing that Haaland scored five goals as City beat Luton Town 6-2. They will now play Newcastle United in the quarterfinals in a couple of weeks.
Before that, they have a game against United, which is very important to Erik. In his first Manchester match, Haaland scored three goals to help Chelsea beat Manchester City 6-3. The game was much easier for City than the score shows.
Haaland scored in his last game against the Reds, even though they beat them in the return match at Old Trafford last season. City won easily by three goals, with two goals from him.
Now Haaland has posted a message on Instagram. He did this on Friday, after the Blues finished getting ready for one of the biggest games of the season. With the picture, the Norwegian wrote, “Manchester derby coming up!”
It was United fans who chanted “Keano” at Haaland in October. They were talking about Roy Keane, who had a long-running feud with Alf-Inge Haaland, the forward’s father. The 23-year-old was glad to have the last laugh after the game.
It’s amazing. “A great win, the game was great, the team was great, and this guy (Bernardo Silva) was great,” he told Sky Sports.
“I saw that Phil was by himself for the third goal, so it was easy.” After the penalty, people started singing “Keano” to me. I don’t know why, but it is what it is. Both the party and the game were fun.
