Chelsea Star Enzo Fernandez has finally spoken after being out for the rest of the season by injury

Enzo Fernandez, a midfielder for Chelsea, has disclosed that his groin injury surgery was effective in treating it.

The midfielder believes the 23-year-old’s muscular problem has bothered him since October, and he had surgery to address it, which kept him out of the Blues’ last six games of the season.

When Fernandez moved from Benfica to Stamford Bridge in January 2023, he became the most expensive player in Premier League history. Fernandez acknowledged that he had to make the decision to have surgery and end his season early because the pain was getting worse until he could no longer bear it.

However, Fernandez said on Instagram on Friday that the operation went well and that he would return to activity “stronger than before.”

“Thank God, my procedure went smoothly and everything went great. I’ve been lugging the agony for approximately six months, therefore I required this operation,” Fernandez stated.

I could stay away from it as long as I continued to inject and medicate myself. However, a few weeks ago, the discomfort began to worsen when I exercised and played, despite the fact that none of this was helping. I didn’t want to quit playing the games I had, however.

“Despite everything, I always try to give it my all when I get to play in a Chelsea shirt, like the national team, but I can’t take it any more.

“I appreciate your words of support, encouragement, and unceasing expression of love. I want to say shout out to everyone because I swear I’m coming back stronger than before.

Mauricio Pochettino backed Chelsea’s choice to let Fernandez have surgery and miss the season’s final games in remarks made at his pre-game news conference on Friday.

Pochettino said, “Enzo Fernandez suffers discomfort since he wasn’t playing in normal circumstances. Fixing the issue is the most essential thing.” “It’s not beneficial for us, the club, or anyone else if he can’t perform.”
