VAR has just torn the hearts out of Chelsea supporters.After entering the game as a late substitute, Axel Disasi believed he had won when he headed in from a cross after a corner.
Although there was clearly some shunting going on between Benoit Badiashile and Diego Carlos, the referee originally didn’t believe there was enough evidence to throw it out.
Perhaps he was unable to gain a good perspective of the field? He did determine it to be a foul after seeing the footage.
Disasi climbed highest to head the ball in after Badiashile had the opportunity to swing it back in. However, after raucous festivities at first, it was stolen from us.
We can all agree that VAR has once again taken away the excitement of a game, whatever of our opinions on the outcome.
