“Do you believe I would still be employed if I worked for a major Premier League team and we finished sixth, seventh, or eighth in the standings? I’m trying to suggest that people ought to see me in the same manner that they do other individuals. For me, what matters is that the club has goals, and I want to be able to declare that I’m prepared to fight for them.
“At the very least, semi-realistic; I don’t want to say realistic. Because we made it to the European Cup finals and nobody else was thinking of it when I came to Roma. Going to a team that is on the verge of relegation and expecting to win the Champions League is not feasible. Although it’s excellent, it’s unfair.
