Reece James has received high praise from Manchester City captain Kyle Walker, who called the Chelsea player the “greatest right-back in the world.”
James made his first-team Chelsea debut in September 2019 and has since established himself as one of the league’s top defenders, despite his ongoing injury problems.
Prior to his most recent injury setback, James had also started to play often for England, earning 16 appearances for the Three Lions and competing at Euro 2020.
Despite having only started five Premier League games this season, the 24-year-old was an unexpected absence from Gareth Southgate’s 33-man preliminary England team ahead of this summer’s Euros.
Walker believes that James, the captain of Chelsea, is the most “complete” right-back in global football, despite the fact that James will not play for Germany this summer.
