Manchester United are reportedly linked with a significant double transfer move for two stars from Euro 2024. It seems Sir Jim has liked what he’s seen so far at the tournament and has lined up a massive double signing 👀

Manchester United are making significant strides in the summer transfer window, having recently released eight players. With Erik ten Hag now firmly in charge, the club is keen on bolstering its roster with new talent. According to reports from Portuguese outlet A Bola, and relayed by Sport Witness, United are targeting two standout performers from Euro 2024, both from Sporting CP in Portugal.

One of the players catching United’s eye is Morten Hjulmand, who has received widespread praise following his equalizing goal for Denmark against England. Hjulmand, known for his powerful shots, joined Sporting CP in 2023 for €18 million. His impressive debut season saw him contribute significantly to Sporting’s Primeira Liga triumph, earning him a place in Portugal’s Team of the Year. Despite Manchester United’s reported interest, Hjulmand remains a key player for Sporting CP, with a high release clause of €80 million, reflecting the difficulty of any potential transfer.

Additionally, United are also interested in Goncalo Inacio, another talented Sporting CP player making a mark at Euro 2024 with Portugal’s national team. The 22-year-old center-back played a crucial role in Portugal’s recent comeback win against the Czech Republic. Inacio’s release clause is set at €60 million, attracting United as they look to reinforce their defense.

Strengthening the central defense is a priority for United this transfer window, with the club also pursuing players like Jarrad Branthwaite and Leny Yoro. The interest in Inacio fits their strategy to enhance their defensive lineup, adding both depth and quality.

Securing these players would not only improve United’s squad but also demonstrate their determination to compete at the highest levels of European football. As negotiations continue, the club remains proactive in building a strong team under Erik ten Hag’s leadership, aiming for both domestic and continental success.

In summary, although acquiring Morten Hjulmand or Goncalo Inacio involves financial challenges, Manchester United’s pursuit highlights their dedication to strategic recruitment and their ambition to form a squad capable of sustained success in the coming seasons.
