Manuel Ugarte is on the verge of completing a transfer to Manchester United, with the club poised to finalize a fee agreement with PSG for the midfielder. As reported by Diego Munoz, Ugarte, previously with Sporting CP, is set to depart from the French champions this summer and is “nearing” a move to Old Trafford.
According to the Uruguayan journalist, PSG’s Spanish manager, Luis Enrique, has advised Ugarte to seek a new club. Manchester United is ready to meet the financial requirements to acquire him.
Munoz stated:
“He is near to joining United. Ugarte won’t remain at PSG. Luis Enrique has already indicated he isn’t part of his future plans.”
“Ugarte didn’t feel at ease with the team, which created opportunities. PSG aims to offload him to recoup part of their investment, and Manchester United is prepared to pay, making them his most probable next team.”
