Cristiano Ronaldo has been punished to 99 lashes the next time the Al Nassr ace visits Iran.
Cristiano Ronaldo, a man who takes delight in doing everything perfectly, has made such a gaffe in Iran that the next time he visits, he will almost certainly be jailed and sentenced to 99 lashes.
Ronaldo’s Al Nassr team headed to Iran in September to play Persepolis in the Asian Champions League group round, and while there, he posed for photos. However, one in particular has gotten him into difficulty.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Ronaldo was given a portrait by Iranian painter Fatima Hamimi, but his loving kiss and placement of his arm around her for the photo opportunity placed him in hot water with authorities.
According to Mundo Deportivo, many attorneys have filed complaints as a result of Ronaldo’s actions, which are considered to be in the worst possible taste.
It’s thought that in Iranian law, merely touching a married lady is considered adultery, though it’s tough to suppose Ronaldo knew that before posing for the photo.
