2 Liverpool stars set to be kicked out from National team squad before the Euro 2024 begin for this reason 😰🤯 This would be a massive loss! 😮💔

Two Liverpool players have been advised that they might soon face some disappointing news.

Four Liverpool players are included in Gareth Southgate’s preliminary 33-man England squad for Euro 2024, but seven players will be excluded before the tournament starts in Germany.

Speaking to englandfootball.com, Southgate commended Liverpool’s Jarell Quansah and Curtis Jones, who, along with Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton, were named in the longlist despite having no senior caps.

Southgate, however, cautioned the trio to be prepared for the possibility of not making the final squad next week.

He said, “I’ve informed these players that we’re only taking 26. They might be ready now, but this experience could be beneficial for their future. I can’t guarantee anything due to potential injury situations.”

If Jones and Quansah do not make the final squad on June 8, it would be a major disappointment.

Nevertheless, their inclusion in the provisional squad shows they are part of Southgate’s future plans. It’s surprising that Harvey Elliott was not selected, especially given his strong end to the season.

Although Southgate faces criticism for his tactics and lack of trophies, he communicates bad news with respect, unlike some other international managers dealing with Liverpool players.

If Jones and Quansah make the final 26, it would be excellent, but if not, they will have extra time to recover before the 2024/25 season.

They have a good chance of being included in future squads, and Southgate may eventually consider Elliott.
