Chelsea has announced this evening Mouricio Pochettino replacement as Chelsea new head coach

By the end of the week, Chelsea will officially confirm Enzo Maresca’s arrival. He will sign a five-year contract with the option of a further year.

The Italian will be successful. Following Leicester City’s Championship victory and promotion back to the Premier League, Maurico Pochettino visited Stamford Bridge.

Legal proceedings are wrapping up an agreement between the club and Maresca, according to The Daily Telegraph. An announcement might come as early as this Friday.

In an effort to restore stability to the team following a string of tumultuous seasons, US investors Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali have committed to a five-year agreement with a one-year option.

Last summer, his predecessor, Pochettino, agreed to a two-year deal with a three-year option. He was only in the position for a single year. Additionally, Graham Potter received a five-year contract, which he only used for seven months before losing his job last year.

In January 2021, Thomas Tuchel, meantime, agreed to a first 18-month contract.

At least six employees from Leicester are anticipated to accompany Maresca, including Willy Caballero, the former goalkeeper for the Blues who assisted the Italian manager during the previous campaign.

Together with him in west London will be coaches Danny Walker and Roberto Vitiello, goalie coach Michele de Bernardin, fitness coach Marcos Alvarez, and first-team analyst Javier Molina Caballero.

Following a dismal tenure at Parma in Serie B, Maresca took up his second position as a first-team manager at the King Power Stadium. The 44-year-old was an employee of Manchester City before, when Pep Guardiola supported him in his quest to become a “great manager.”

Between 2022 and 2023, Maresca was one of Guardiola’s deputy managers, although the manager gave him the most credit for his work with the club’s youth team, likening him to Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

Maresca became a member of City in August 2020 and led the club’s Under-23 team to victory in Premier League 2 during his tenure as manager of the Elite Development Squad.

In May 2021, Guardiola stated, “We are thrilled with Enzo Maresca. He demonstrated he will become an exceptional manager in the future with all the organization he has done with the EDS [elite development squad].” Outstanding.

“I sense it.” Similar to how I felt about Mikel Arteta, I also think that Enzo will make an incredible manager since he has aided in the development of several young players.
