Star Manchester City player wants to Terminate his contract to Join La liga Giant despite signing a new contract this Summer

According to rumors, Bernardo Silva, a veteran for Manchester City, is still interested in joining Barcelona in the summer of 2024.

This information was provided by Mundo Deportivo, and it comes as a surprise given that the Portuguese international recently extended his deal through 2026.

The fact that Bernardo Silva is leaving Manchester City at the conclusion of the season suggests that he is still pursuing his goal of playing for Barcelona.

Despite rumors of a Manchester City release clause, Bernardo Silva is still incredibly eager to join Barcelona.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a transfer to Blaugrana for the past two summer transfer windows after being described as “so smart” by Kevin De Bruyne.

The dynamic attacker puts his head down and keeps making history at the Etihad Stadium, but the Spanish giants’ financial difficulties appear to prevent them from making a bid for him time and time again.

However, Bernardo Silva was adamant that his new contract include a £50 million release clause in order to make his desire of joining Barcelona more realistic for the coming summer.

After the current campaign ends, it’s possible that Xavi and company will make another attempt to sign the triple-winner.

If Bernardo steps down, Nunes may be seen as the backup option.
It wouldn’t be shocking if Manchester City, one of the best-run teams in the world, insisted on signing Matheus Nunes this season because they were prepared for Barcelona target Bernardo Silva to go next summer.

Nunes is similar to his countryman in that he is a technically good midfielder in deeper areas, a skilled ball carrier, and incredibly diligent. However, he may not be as at home on the wing.

The 25-year-old is expected to develop rapidly under Pep Guardiola.

It’s possible that City still see Matheus Nunes as Bernardo Silva’s long-term successor and are training him to take over for years to come.
