Manchester City defender Kyle Walker recently praised Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold for his outstanding passing skills, noting that he has never seen anyone pass the ball as effectively as the 25-year-old.

 

This season, Alexander-Arnold has bolstered his reputation with consistently remarkable performances. Under Jurgen Klopp’s guidance, his role has evolved, allowing him to move into midfield and execute precise passes.

 

Speaking on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel, Walker highlighted Alexander-Arnold’s impressive development, describing him as a “quarterback at right-back.” Walker said, “I’ve never seen anyone pass the ball like he does. Whether it’s with his left or right foot, a long pass, or a precise delivery, his talent is extraordinary. Liverpool’s direct playing style benefits greatly from his passing abilities.”

 

Walker also addressed criticisms of Alexander-Arnold’s defensive skills, stating, “People criticize his defending, but everyone has areas to improve. He has made significant improvements in his defensive game, which comes with experience.”

 

Both players have been crucial for their respective teams this season. Walker has featured in 38 matches for Manchester City, contributing three assists, while Alexander-Arnold has scored two goals and provided 10 assists in 29 games for Liverpool.
