VERY SAD NEWS has been announced for Manchester City Mid-fielder Rodri after he was injured in the Man City Vs Arsenal match this evening.

After hobbling off during Manchester City’s match against Arsenal, Rodri may be out for some time.

Rodri had previously seen combat when Kai Havertz’s shoulder collided with him after just two seconds, leaving him unconscious for a full two minutes. Additionally, requests for a penalty were made by the fans after Rodri was taken down during a corner, after Erling Haaland’s goal that put City ahead.

However, Rodri had really dug his studs into the ground and seemed to jar his knee, collapsing with excruciating pain right away. He was able to shuffle off after receiving treatment, but Mateo Kovacic had to take his place.

And Rodri just shook his head and walked right down the tunnel after passing Pep Guardiola. The blow comes after Kevin De Bruyne’s injury against Inter Milan prevented him from making the matchday squad; in a pre-match interview, Guardiola characterised the problem as “not a major, massive” injury.

Guardiola’s post-match media obligations will include questions regarding Rodri and De Bruyne. Midway through the first half, Ricardo Calafiori equalized, and Arsenal quickly pulled even.

The two other long-term injury concerns for City are Nathan Ake and Oscar Bobb. 48 hours after the Arsenal match, the Blues take on Watford in the Carabao Cup.
