Goodnews for Manchester City Fans as Pep Guardiola has announced the returning date of the Ballon D’Or winner Rodri to Etihad

George Weah, a former City striker and the 1995 winner of the Ballon d’Or trophy, presented it to Rodri at a lavish ceremony at the Théâtre du Chatelet in Paris. The Ballon d’Or award demonstrates Rodri’s domination from the previous season; the midfielder defeated leading candidates including Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr. of Real Madrid, and fellow Spaniard Dani Carvajal to win the award.

This will be Rodri’s first time back at the Etihad since he underwent surgery to repair an ACL injury he suffered during a 2-2 draw with Arsenal in September. He has been recuperating in Spain. Guardiola’s team has just had a historic run of four straight losses, and his absence has coincided with a difficult time for them. The defending champions fell to Ruben Amorim’s Sporting CP in the Champions League and suffered back-to-back defeats to Bournemouth and Brighton in the Premier League.
