Manchester United suffered a thrilling 4-3 defeat to Tottenham in the League Cup quarterfinals. Despite a strong comeback, United couldn’t overcome their early mistakes.

Tottenham took an early lead when Altay Bayindir fumbled Pedro Porro’s long-range shot, allowing Dominic Solanke to score. Spurs added two more goals in the second half, courtesy of Dejan Kulusevski and Solanke’s second.

However, United staged a dramatic comeback, thanks to goals from Joshua Zirkzee and Amad, both of which were facilitated by Fraser Forster’s goalkeeping errors. Son Heung-min scored a late goal direct from a corner, but Jonny Evans’ stoppage-time strike made it 4-3.
