‘Tell him to pack his belongings and leave my club immediately, because I DO NOT TOLERATE LAZY players…I can’t be paying high salary on Him and not benefiting from Him’: Manchester United owners has ordered Michael Carrick they must sell £43 million FLOP as soon as possible or risk losing their jobs

Manchester United have shown a major improvement since Michael Carrick took charge as interim manager. Despite a few minor setbacks, the team has looked far stronger and more organized under the former midfield star.

Only weeks ago, the Red Devils seemed destined for another season outside the top four. However, results have improved significantly since Carrick replaced Ruben Amorim in January, pushing the club back into the race for UEFA Champions League qualification. His positive impact has even placed him among the leading contenders to take the managerial job permanently at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, another developing story involves Kobbie Mainoo and his contract situation. The 20-year-old midfielder has experienced an up-and-down season after initially breaking into the first team as one of the club’s brightest academy talents. He became an important figure in midfield but later lost his regular spot during Amorim’s time in charge, sparking rumours about a possible summer exit.

Carrick’s arrival, however, changed everything. The interim boss restored Mainoo to the starting lineup, and the young midfielder has since enjoyed one of the best runs of form of his career.

Despite his growing influence, Mainoo remains one of the lowest-paid players in the squad, reportedly earning around £20,000 per week. His contract runs until 2027, with the club holding the option of extending it by another year, and discussions about improved terms have been ongoing. Reports suggested earlier in the year that progress was being made after the player lowered his wage demands, but his resurgence under Carrick may now complicate negotiations.

Even so, the England international is said to be happy at the club, and there is optimism that he will eventually commit his long-term future to United.

In another development, young United talent Jack Fletcher has apologised after using homophobic language during an EFL Trophy match against Barnsley F.C. earlier this season. The 18-year-old, who is the son of former United midfielder Darren Fletcher, received a six-match suspension and a £1,500 fine from the The Football Association.

The incident happened after Fletcher was sent off in October following a heated exchange with an opposing player who reportedly referenced members of his family. Reacting angrily, Fletcher used an offensive term and was later charged by the FA.

Following the ruling, the teenager issued a public apology, explaining that the comment was made in the heat of the moment and did not reflect his beliefs. He acknowledged that the language was unacceptable and said he regretted the incident.
