‘I tried everything I could to parsuade him to join Totheham , but it appears that His mind is made up already’: Harry Kane has confirmed his Bayern Munich teammate has Snubbed Totheham and Chelsea to Join Manchester City in January
Chelsea has recently been linked with Jamal Musiala, a former player. After joining Bayern Munich from Chelsea, Jamal Musiala has developed into an incredible offensive midfielder. And one of his teammates, Harry Kane, has told ESPN FC that he wishes he could play for England because he is so good.
The 20-year-old played for England up to the U21 level before electing to return to Germany, where he was born.
Musiala is Chelsea’s ideal target, according to journalist Simon Phillips’ Substack last month. If the Blues want to re-sign him, they will have to pay a lot of money.
Harry Kane wishes Jamal Musiala had represented England.
When asked which German footballer he wished was English, Kane answered ESPN FC, “I’m currently playing with Jamal Musiala.” He is almost entirely English, but he chose to play for Germany.
He’s a terrific player with so much talent; I wish he’d chosen England rather Germany.”
Jamal Musiala is a fantastic player.
It would be fantastic if Chelsea could re-sign Musiala. Despite being only 20 years old, the Germany international is likely one of the top players in the world in his position.
He is inventive and can cause havoc with his dribbling.
Musiala is averaging 2.9 dribbles per game in the Bundesliga this season, according to WhoScored. In Thomas Tuchel’s team, only Leroy Sane (4.3) has a higher average.
In the previous season, the former Chelsea academy star averaged 2.3 points per game while scoring 12 goals and providing 10 assists in Germany’s top flight.
It is clear, then, that Musiala is a footballer who creates opportunities. It’s a shame Chelsea couldn’t keep him, but ideally they’ll be in the race if Bayern Munich is forced to sell in the near future.
Musiala’s contract does not expire until 2026, so the German giants and Tuchel will not panic just yet, though it would be beneficial for both if he signed a new contract soon.
