‘I give you this week to pack your things and leave ‘: Manchester United New owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has officially told £60m Man U star to leave this week or His contract will be terminated just as He did to the likes of Ronaldo and Sancho after causing the goal Vs Fullham today.

In retrospect, Harry Maguire believes he should have fouled Adama Traore to stop Fulham from defeating Manchester United and winning the match.

After Maguire’s goal in the 89th minute tied the score at 1-1 with Fulham, nine minutes of injury time were added, forcing players to forward in an attempt to find a winner.

The Old Trafford crowd erupted in support of United, hoping for a thrilling victory, but their efforts were thwarted as Traore raced free and found Alex Iwobi in the opposite end. Maguire had a chance to foul Traore, and a petty challenge probably would have kept them from losing.

Since Traore had already been booked earlier in the game, Maguire would have been sent out if he had brought him down, but the points would have been shared nonetheless.

“We lost Casemiro at the beginning of the second half and that set us back as well,” he stated in an interview with MUTV following the game. For the first fifteen or twenty minutes, we couldn’t get into a rhythm, which gave them a well-earned lead.

“We knew they were powerful in set plays from the first half, so it was a pretty soft goal to give up again. We deserved the equaliser because we gave it everything we had to get back into the game.

“We had a chance to win the game, but we may have overcommitted and opened up the middle of the ground by throwing too many players forward.

“They responded to our attack with a well-planned counteroffensive. Looking back, I’m sure we’ll evaluate what went wrong and where we can do better. In retrospect, we can all sit here and say things like, “We should have been more cautious,” “We were too naive,” etc.

“Traore is a new player who they are bringing in, and it’s fortunate that the ball finds him because we know he is skilled at it. Again, looking back, I might have just pulled him down while I was on a booking, but then you miss next week [because of suspension].

“It’s simple to say now, but losing the game was disappointing. The guys gave it their all, and their response when we fell behind 1-0 was outstanding.”

When asked what he thought was the winning goal, Erik ten Hag responded diplomatically. “They had a throw-in and we didn’t take the right positions,” he stated. “Actually, one player didn’t take the right position, but we should coach, put him in the right position, so they can’t escape out of the corner.”
