The last thing left for Chelsea’s employees and players to do is walk alone up to pick up their winners medals, but several supporters saw a strange exchange between owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino seemed to disregard the latter, reaching straight for the former’s hand to give it a comforting shake. Naturally, some fans are taking great offence at this, although it was obviously unintentional. Pochettino just wants to get off that platform, just like everyone else.
It’s unclear exactly what happened; Boehly has his hands tucked into his coat and is partially turned away, so Pochettino most likely missed him when Eghbali extended his hand to shake the coach’s hand.
