Terrible news has just arrived for Liverpool.. This is the last thing Liverpool fans wanted to hear! 👎

Recent updates suggest that Manchester City is growing increasingly optimistic about clinching the signing of Jamal Musiala in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Despite interest from Liverpool and Chelsea, Manchester City seems to have the edge in negotiations for the Bayern Munich attacking midfielder.

Reports from the Daily Star indicate that Musiala has turned down a contract extension offer from Bayern Munich, sparking rumors of a potential move.

Both Manchester City and Liverpool are actively pursuing Musiala, with scouts from both clubs present during Bayern’s recent Bundesliga loss to Bayer Leverkusen.

Bayern had proposed a new contract worth £150,000 per week to retain the services of the 21-year-old, but it seems Musiala has chosen not to extend his contract, which expires in June 2026.

Although Liverpool is interested in Musiala, Manchester City appears more confident in securing his signature. Chelsea is also in the mix, but their chances may depend on their European qualification.

Musiala is expected to command a fee of at least £80 million, with potential weekly wages of £200,000, compared to his current earnings of around £90,000 per week at Bayern.

The German midfielder has hinted at a possible move to the Premier League, stating last year that it’s the strongest and most appealing league, though he remains focused on success with Bayern for now.

At just 21 years old, Musiala is showcasing his peak abilities, and a move to Manchester City would add one of the most promising young talents to their squad, alongside Erling Haaland and Phil Foden, presenting a formidable challenge for defenders.
