Manchester United Handed Major Injuy blow just hours before Liverpool Clash
Hours before Manchester United’s FA Cup match against Liverpool, a serious injury blow to Casemiro is suffered.
The nature of the 32-year-old’s ailment is unknown, but Dorival Junior, the head coach, stated the Man United player was unavailable.
The manager for Brazil stated, “We recently received a report from Dr. Rodrigo Lasmar.”
Thirteen of the 50 names on the Brazilian National Team’s pre-list were already out due to injuries sustained at their clubs by the technical committee. Sadly, Casemiro was also lost to us.
“Therefore, Pepe, from Porto, a native striker who now plays as a midfielder, is called up.”
Before their FA Cup match against Liverpool, Manchester United has not released any official information regarding Casemiro.
It appears, nevertheless, that he will not play against Liverpool given the announcement that he is unavailable for the Brazil national squad.
Erik ten Hag’s £60 million midfield player has made 21 appearances across all competitions this season.
In all competitions, he has started their last nine games.
The news is devastating since Ten Hag was just starting to get players back, and United had struggled with injuries all season long.
Mason Mount, a summer acquisition, is allegedly joining Harry Maguire, Rasmus Hojlund, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka in strengthening United’s lineup for Sunday after they resumed training this week.
Prior to Mount leaving Chelsea for Old Trafford, where he has had a difficult start to life and missed the last four months due to a calf ailment, Liverpool was also considering him.
Ten Hag declared, “I’m convinced he will be (a key player).” “He was unable to substantiate this claim. He will, however, be a fantastic player for Manchester United.
“Having a player of his calibre in the middle and not being able to play him is incredibly regrettable and upsetting, not only for us but also for him.
“As everyone is aware, he has suffered three injuries, therefore he was unable to establish a rhythm. However, I have no doubt that he will help Manchester United succeed if he returns to fitness, plays, and finds his rhythm.”
