Premier League giants club sacks manager this morning after they found that he is alleged relationship with his player. The biggest scandal in English football! 😱

Leicester City has terminated manager Willie Kirk’s contract after investigating allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a player. Kirk, a 45-year-old Scotsman, was suspended earlier this month pending an inquiry into the matter.

Following an internal investigation, the club found Kirk to be in violation of their code of conduct, resulting in his dismissal and the end of his two-year tenure at the club.

In a statement released post-Kirk’s termination, Leicester City reiterated their dedication to professionalism and a performance-oriented atmosphere. They emphasized that Kirk’s actions compromised his position, breaching the team’s code of conduct established at the beginning of the current season.

Willie Kirk initially joined Leicester City in July 2022 as the director of football before becoming the manager in November.

Under his leadership, the team currently occupies the ninth position in the Women’s Super League but has recently faced setbacks against Tottenham and Brighton. However, they are gearing up for the FA Cup semi-finals against Spurs in mid-April.

In the absence of Kirk, his assistant Jennifer Foster and first-team coach Stephen Kirby will temporarily manage the team until a replacement is appointed.

This incident adds to a concerning trend in women’s football, exemplified by Sheffield United’s Jonathan Morgan’s dismissal last month for a similar alleged involvement with a player.

These instances highlight the significance of maintaining professional boundaries within the sport and enforcing stringent codes of conduct to uphold the integrity and reputation of women’s football.
