Victor Osimhen, a striker for Napoli, is one of Chelsea’s top targets for the summer transfer window.
There have been rumors circulating that Victor Osimhen is at the top of Chelsea’s eight-man striker shortlist.
Nicolas Jackson has nine goals this season in the Premier League, while Cole Palmer has sixteen for the Blues.

What Chelsea wants to make clear before moving to acquire Victor Osimhen
The fact that Osimhen’s contract has a release provision is now well known.
But in order to sign the 25-year-old this summer, Chelsea will need to do more than just pull the trigger.
Transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano said that before Chelsea starts negotiating for his signature, they need clarification on a number of other issues, including commissions and a signing-on fee.
Romano said on Substack about Chelsea and Osimhen: “There are a lot of things to clarify. The agreement doesn’t only rely on the player’s pay, but also a signing-on fee, commissions, and an extremely costly release clause of between €120m/€130m.
“Chelsea wants to ensure that prior to negotiations, the budget is known.”
Perhaps Victor Osimhen is worth the money.
Therefore, it is evident that Chelsea will need to provide a substantial cash package in order to get Osimhen if they want to sign him during the next transfer window.
But considering how he performed the previous season, it may be worthwhile. Osimhen has not accomplished much this season, but in all competitions during the 2022–2023 season, he scored 31 goals.
The Napoli player, despite his high price tag, may be the answer to Chelsea’s many issues, including their lack of a reliable and productive No. 9.
