Former Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar has become manager of this shocking Premier League club today!

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now the clear favorite to start a new career and return to football after his two and a half year hiatus from Manchester United.

Following a 4-1 loss against Watford at Vicarage Road, United fired the Norwegian in November 2021.

Since then, he has not played football again. He acknowledges that he has had several offers to return, including two from Saudi Arabia, but he wanted to wait until the ideal time.

Regarding the Republic of Ireland position, which has been unfilled since Stephen Kenny’s dismissal in November, supporters may not immediately think of it when asked to identify the perfect chance for Solskjaer.

However, John O’Shea, one of Solskjaer’s old Manchester United teammates, has taken over in a temporary capacity.

Although Roy Keane and Steve Bruce, two United greats, have been at the top of the bookies’ odds for a few weeks, Solskjaer has almost come out of nowhere to lead the odds right now.

That’s according to Betfair, who has the Norwegian at 3/10 to become the manager of the Republic of Ireland.

Before, the 51-year-old was available with odds of 80/1, thus there has been a significant change in probability.

There’s no proof that Solskjaer has spoken with the FAI, so it’s unclear why he made that change.

Nonetheless, fans of Ireland have listed him as one of their top choices for the position.
