“When I arrived, it was quite a mess.” “I was harming the team and didn’t want to expose myself.” -Chelsea star admits he ‘harmed’ the team and says Mauricio Pochettino fixed squad ‘mess’

Enzo Fernandez acknowledges that by playing through injuries this season, he was “harming” Chelsea’s performances. He also applauded Mauricio Pochettino for “bringing order and identity” to the club.
Argentina’s World Cup winner has had a hernia problem that has kept him from playing for Chelsea for much of this season. He underwent surgery last month and will now miss the remainder of the season.
Just over a year ago, Fernandez signed a £106.8 million contract to join Chelsea from Benfica, and the midfielder has credited Pochettino with being instrumental in fostering better unity among the team.
“There were a lot of guys, and it was quite a mess when I arrived,” Fernandez stated in a DSports interview.
“Mauricio provided the squad direction and a sense of identity.” There is a difference in the work ethic. In actuality, he made beneficial changes to everything.
The group works harder and with greater seriousness. That’s crucial during the weekdays, and you’ll notice a change come the weekend.

For Argentina’s Copa America campaign, which kicks off against Canada on June 20, Fernandez is now aiming to make a comeback from his injury.
“I spent eight months toying with pain and injections,” Fernandez remarked.
“Surgery was the best option, but I had to make the decision.” I didn’t want to reveal that I was hurting the squad.
“I’m okay, you guys can unwind.” My condition is improving daily, and I can’t wait for the Copa America to come.
“I expect to be training with the national team soon. My recuperation is progressing, and I’ve already started training on the pitch.”
“This will be my first time playing in the Copa America, so I’m really enthusiastic about it.”
