Manchester United to Challenge FA’s Suspension of Patrick Dorgu

 

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has confirmed that the club will contest the Football Association’s (FA) decision to hand defender Patrick Dorgu a three-match suspension. The young Danish full-back was sent off during United’s thrilling 3-2 win over Ipswich Town after a controversial tackle on Omari Hutchinson.

 

The pivotal moment occurred in the 43rd minute when Dorgu’s challenge initially went unnoticed by the match official. However, after a VAR review and a subsequent pitchside monitor check, the referee deemed the tackle serious foul play and issued a straight red card.

 

As a result, Dorgu’s suspension will see him miss crucial upcoming games, including an FA Cup clash with Fulham and Premier League fixtures against Arsenal and Leicester City. United, believing the punishment is excessive, will formally appeal the decision in hopes of reducing or overturning the

ban.
