Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood is reportedly close to finalizing personal terms with a La Liga club, though Manchester United has yet to approve the deal. The 22-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Getafe, impressed with eight goals and six assists, garnering significant interest during the summer transfer window.

According to TEAMtalk, Greenwood has attracted attention from Juventus, Napoli, Atletico Madrid, and Borussia Dortmund. Although Juventus was recently linked with him, their interest has waned, making a return to Spain more likely for Greenwood, especially given recent developments.

Juventus reporter Nick Semeraro states that Valencia has agreed on personal terms with Greenwood, intending to bring him to the Mestalla Stadium next season. Valencia, aiming to strengthen their attack after scoring only 40 league goals last season, sees Greenwood as a valuable addition. However, they still need to reach an agreement with Manchester United to finalize the transfer.

TEAMtalk reports that Valencia has made an initial offer of £25 million for Greenwood, which would make him the fourth most expensive signing in the club’s history. Nevertheless, Manchester United is expected to demand a higher fee. Semeraro highlights a significant disparity between the valuations of both clubs.

Getafe is also keen on re-signing Greenwood, and he is open to returning to the Coliseum Alfonso Perez. However, financial limitations may hinder this move. Getafe president Angel Torres remarked, “If it were up to the player, his family, and the club [Getafe], he would stay for another year. We have to wait until the end of June … everyone, including the coach, is very pleased with him. I believe he will stay with us for another season, or at least until January. He is a talented footballer.”

Greenwood’s contract with Manchester United extends until the summer of 2025, with an option for the club to extend it by an additional year.
