Man Utd Blocked! 🚨 UEFA rules have stopped Manchester United from signing one of their top targets this summer, leaving fans and the club in disbelief. Stay tuned for more updates on this shocking development!

Manchester United have been prevented from securing one of their primary transfer targets this summer.

The summer transfer window is expected to be active for Man United, as INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe aim to make significant changes to the squad.

Following the departure of Raphael Varane, who will leave at the end of his contract this summer, a centre-back is a top priority for the club.

One of Man United’s main targets is Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite, but the club’s initial bid has been described as ‘disrespectful’.

The Red Devils are also monitoring Jean-Clair Todibo, who currently plays for Nice.

However, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Man United’s attempt to sign Todibo has been thwarted by UEFA regulations.

Since INEOS controls both Nice and Man United, UEFA rules prohibit transfers between clubs that will compete in the same European competition next season. Both teams have qualified for the Europa League.

Romano tweeted: “Jean-Clair Todibo’s move to Man United is currently off and highly unlikely due to UEFA rules. Talks had advanced for months, but with Nice and Man Utd under the same ownership and set to play in the same European competition next season, the deal cannot proceed.”

This situation has frustrated Man United fans, who pointed to Manchester City’s transfer of Savio, who was on loan at Girona, another club partially owned by City.

Mark Goldbridge tweeted: “How are City able to do it then?”

Another fan tweeted: “It’s okay for Oil City FC to do it with Girona, but we can’t? Cool. 116 charges then.”

A third fan commented: “How does that work? Savio joined City lol.”

Savio’s parent club is Ligue 2 team Troyes, which is also part of the City Football Group, enabling the transfer to take place.
